چکیده
INTRODUCTION Most behavioral scientists are well aware of computer technology as a means of reducing and otherwise analyzing empirically derived data. A small number have also discovered, and enthusiastically endorsed, the computer's potential for simulation of analytic models. But little has been made of yet another application of computer technology in the behavioral sciences, namely, the use of computers for data acquisition.

Comparing Bargaining Solutions in the Shadow of Conflict: How Norms against Threats Can Have Real Effects
In many economic environments agents make costly and irreversible investments (in ``guns'') that may enhance their respective threat payoffs but also shrink the utility possibilities set. In such settings, with variable threats and a variable utility possibilities set, it becomes possible to rank different bargaining solutions in terms of efficiency. Market Power, Dismissal Threat and Rent Sharing: The Role of Insider and Outsider Forces in Wage Bargaining One of the predictions of the insider-outsider theory is that wages will be higher in sectors (firms) with high labor adjustment costs/high turnover costs. This prediction is tested empirically in this study, using an insider-outsider model and a longitudinal panel of large firms in Portu...
